Well, it's Friday...

I suppose I should update this post! It's been a crazy week, but I have gotten a few things done. I've had 2-4 extra kids all day, so most of my days have been spent running around cleaning up after people and entertaining the little ones. I have done a lot of planning and I thought I'd share my plans with you, and what memories I've been starting to work on.

Piano....
A while back we were blessed to receive this piano for free! It is OLD and HEAVY!!!! It also needs a lot of TLC. Wayne and I have figure out how to disassemble it and we are going to remove the old warn off varnish and re-stain it. It's going to take a lot longer than a week, but will be a fabulous piece of furniture when we are finished. I have also started practicing the piano again. This has been enjoyable. It also, will come in need as the only piano player in our church is moving. I better get practicing more!

Sewing....

I decided to start sewing more. I did that pillow case a while back and that got me excited about practicing sewing more. I found this fabulous site and thought....Hey, I can do that! So I found an old dress.....


and cut the bottom part off.... (sorry it's blurry)


Then attached the elastic...(not sure if this is the proper way to do it, but it's how I did it)


And then I started sewing it all up. I tried it on Sierra and made a few adjustments when suddenly.....

My needle bent! So now I have to wait until later tonight in order to go get a new one. I'm really hoping the sewing shop in town has one, otherwise I'll have to order one online and wait. I'm not wanting to wait! I'll hopefully finish it up tonight and post the finished project later. I have some other projects I've been planning and working on. I'm hoping to get some of them finished up this weekend so I can post more fun pictures later!
